![]() ![]() I have checked the database location and each one has the same problem - the e00.chk, e01. I have tried to get around this problem and created a new mailbox database and done a local mailbox move from the affected database of all the mailboxes but I get the same errors on the new database when trying to back it up (full backup). In the Event log I have event ID 565 - I also get the errors 9782 stating the backup has completed the backup with errors - and no log files were truncated and ESE error 2007 - Shadow copy instance aborted. I have used eseutil to check them and they are in a clean state. The databases are mounted and healthy and I am able to dismount and remount them. The consistency check failed for the component. I tried to run a FULL backup again but I still get the message - The application will not be available for recoveryįrom this backup. I have run the mailbox recovery powershell commands to find and fix any issues with the mailboxes and they have come back with no errors. The databases mount OK and email seems to be workingįine. ![]() To see what your CHK file might contain, you can also try opening it with a hex editor like Frhed. This tool attempts to find whole files and embedded files inside one or more CHK files, extracting them where possible. I had a server crash last week and had to do a hard reset and since then Exchange will not back up successfully. There are a variety of tools for recovering data from CHK files, including UnCHK. Tap on the Downloads folder on the Files app home screen. I am having a problem with my exchange 2010 backups failing using Windows Backup on SBS2011.
